As a direct consequence of the decision to call off the strike, the administration of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State has divulged, via the newly revised academic calendar for the current school year, the day on which classes will resume for both new and current students.
The FUOYE administration has decided that the first day of classes for returning students will take place exactly two weeks after the first day of classes for new students. This standard norm is adhered to and observed by the vast majority of educational institutions. Because of this, first-year students would have the appropriate amount of time to easily finish bond registration, despite the fact that they are still relatively inexperienced with the system. This would be the case even though first-year students are still generally unfamiliar with the system.
During the 2023/2024 academic session, the academic activities that are going to take place are going to take place throughout the course of around four months’ time. It is anticipated that all events, whether academic or otherwise, would take place within the period of time spanning the following four months as per the plans.
FUOYE RESUMPTION DATE FOR FRESH AND RETURNING STUDENTS
The university management here inform all students (returning, stream A who are expected to write their First Semester Examinations in January, 2023 and stream B who have just been admitted)that the University will resume normal academic activities with effect from Monday, 9th January, 2023.
The stream B students (fresh students) are advised to pay the necessary sundry fees on or before Monday, 9th January, 2023to enable them to participate in the Matriculation Ceremony scheduled for Friday,13th January, 2023.
Both new and returning students are required to immediately begin paying their school fees and completing any essential registrations as soon as courses resumed after the break.
If there are any alterations to the date on which FUOYE classes will resume for the 2023/2024 academic session, the management will be sure to inform us of them, and as soon as I find out about them, I will make any necessary adjustments to the schedule.
