1 seedless watermelon

Powdered sugar or honey for taste

1 small lime, juiced


1. Slice the watermelon on a cutting board into small slices, small enough to fit into the blender. Cut off the flesh of the watermelon and discard the rind.  

2. Place the slices into a bowl and then into the blender (use a spoon or fork to prevent messiness). Add the honey or sugar to improve the taste (this is optional).

You can decide to let the watermelon cool in the refrigerator for about an hour before putting in it in the blender. This will keep the juice cool without having to add too much ice.

Watermelons contain a lot of water so you wouldn’t need to add any water, but if you desire a thinner juice then add a small amount of water. For thicker juice add ice cubes.

3. Blend continuously until the juice is smooth. You can also combine lime juice and simple syrup to boost the taste.

4. Serve the juice in a tall glass. If you wish to remove the pulp, simply strain the juice through a fine sieve.

Note: if your watermelon isn’t seedless, slick the watermelon into smaller slices and use a small spoon to scoop out the seeds first before putting them in the blender.
