Monday, 15th April 2024
The convocation week will commence with the Vice Chancellor’s Press Briefing. This event is set for 10:00 am at the Senate Chambers, Ahmadu Bello House, Main Campus. It serves as an opportunity to unveil the week’s activities and highlight the university’s recent accomplishments and future plans.
Tuesday, 16th April 2024
A day packed with intellectual and cultural festivities. Starting at 10:00 am, the Convocation Debate will take place at the University Auditorium on the Main Campus. This will be followed by the Convocation Drama at 4:00 pm, showcasing the artistic talents of UDUSOK students.
Wednesday, 17th April 2024
Sports enthusiasts will have a treat with the Novelty Football Match scheduled for 4:00 pm at the University Stadium, Main Campus. This event fosters camaraderie and sportsmanship among students and staff.
Thursday, 18th April 2024
The Convocation Lecture is a highlight of the week, featuring Mal. Nuhu Ribadu, HSA. The lecture, titled “Federalism, Democratic Governance, and Management of Conflict and Insecurity in Nigeria,” will commence at 10:00 am at the University Auditorium. This session promises profound insights into pressing national issues.

A pivotal day as the Award of Certificates & Diplomas and the Award of Bachelor Degrees both take place at 9:00 am at the Convocation Square, Main Campus. Later, at 4:30 pm, the Commissioning of Projects at various university campuses will occur, followed by the prestigious Chancellor’s Dinner at 8:00 pm.
Saturday, 20th April 2024
The grand finale of the convocation week. Starting at 9:00 am at the Convocation Square, this day will see the Presentation of Prizes, Award of Higher Degrees, and the Conferment of Honorary Degrees. This event not only celebrates the academic achievements of the graduates but also honors distinguished personalities who have contributed significantly to society and the academic world.
