The Bayelsa Medical University administration has decided that the first day of classes for returning students will take place exactly two weeks after the first day of classes for new students. This standard norm is adhered to and observed by the vast majority of educational institutions. Because of this, first-year students would have the appropriate amount of time to easily finish bond registration, despite the fact that they are still relatively inexperienced with the system. This would be the case even though first-year students are still generally unfamiliar with the system.
During the 2025/2026 academic session, the academic activities that are going to take place are going to take place throughout the course of around four months’ time. It is anticipated that all events, whether academic or otherwise, would take place within the period of time spanning the following four months as per the plans.

Arrival of Students
- Date: Sunday, 9th June 2024
- Requirement: All students are expected to be on campus by this date to ensure a smooth and timely start to academic activities.
Commencement of Lectures
- Date: Tuesday, 11th June 2024
Lectures will begin promptly on this date, so it is crucial that you are settled and prepared by the time classes start.
WARNING: THIS IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE
Both new and returning students are required to immediately begin paying their school fees and completing any essential registrations as soon as courses resumed after the break.
If there are any alterations to the date on which BMU classes will resume for the 2025/2026 academic session, the management will be sure to inform us of them, and as soon as I find out about them, I will make any necessary adjustments to the schedule.
