Rivalry exists in every facet of our lives, be driven by competition or otherwise. This time we are talking about Don Jazzy (Mavin CEO) and E- money (Five star Record Label Boss). They are both blessings in the Nigerian music industry both financially and talent-wise.


They are both young powerful business moguls with great influence on youths both locally and overseas, they are simply a great force to reckon with.

Don Jazzy

The multi award-winning record producer, singer-songwriter, musician, former CEO of Mo’ Hits Records and current CEO of Mavin Records Don Jazzy or Don Baba J whose real name is Michael Collins Ajereh (born 26 November 1982), hails from the eastern part of the country, Umuahia in Abia state to be precise. He started his career with Nigeria’s Koko master better known as D’banj former Vice President of Mo Hit Records, which consisted of Dbanj, D’prince, Wande Coal, K-Switch and Dr Sid.

Don Jazzy’s first notable production work was in 2004 on Tongolo for Nigerian singer D’banj. He went on to which equally shot the current Koko master to stardom. D’banj’s first studio album titled No Long Thing released in 2005., hats off to Don Jazzy for such a masterpiece.

Forbes, an American business magazine owned by Forbes Inc, rates Don Jazzy as the 39th “Most powerful celebrity in Africa” .

With one Special Recognition Award and 4 times producer of the year award, his talent and contribution in the Nigerian entertainment industry cannot be overemphasized.

In 2012, Don Jazzy signed with Loya Milk for the advertisement and promotion of the brand. This deal was worth N50 million from industry report.

Don Jazzy has a currently running sponsorship deal with Samsung electronics. This deal was signed in South Africa in 2013, which was estimated, to be in the range of a N100 million, not forgetting his mouth-watering endorsement deal as a product/brand ambassador worth millions of naira with telecommunication giant MTN Nigeria.

He owns a mansion in the prestigious area of Lagos (Lekki Phase 1) worth over 160million Naira.

Don Jazzy also owns state of the art wonder on wheels, including his Porsche 911 Carrera (about 484,000 Dollars, N13.4million), Black Cadillac Escalade (about $70,000, N11.2million) Black Bentley Continental Flying Spur (about $ 185,000; N29.6million), Range Rover Sports (about $60,000; N9.6million) amongst others.

Don Jazzy is believed to have many business interests including Mavin Records, Oil and Gas Company called Mavin Energy Limited and the young mogul doesn’t intend taking his feet off the pedal anytime soon or in the nearest future.

EMEKA OKONKWO a.k.a E-MONEY

Business mogul/ Boss of Emmy Cargoes Limited, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, he is fondly called Arab money due to his flamboyant lifestyle.

He is the younger brother of Nigerian music star, Kingsley Okonkwo popularly known as Kcee.

Not many people can identify him as the man who is one of the biggest players in Nigeria’s shipping, oil and gas industries and he is also the C.E.O of Five star Music that produced artistes like KCee (The Limpopo crooner), Harry Song, and Skibi.

The multibillionaire who quietly flaunts what he’s got without hesitating once stated that it was on their way back from his traditional marriage with his once girl friend cum wife that he received a call that he has been awarded a contract worth 2 million dollars and that was the beginning of the change in his life.

Talking about his fortunes, he is a proud owner of a state of the art mansion worth over 250million naira, fleets of SUVs, sport cars, chains of businesses within and outside the shores of Nigeria. E-Money is known in various business circles.

E-Money, CEO of Five Star Music recently(Dec 2015) added to his fleets, a Mercedes Benz Sprinter which costs about N30 Million it’s a sight worth beholding.

He spins money like he owns a printing and minting company; he presented his brother Kcee of Five Star Music with a Mercedes Benz G wagon worth 20million naira as a birthday gift.

His value in dollars is also in eight figures.
