This is to notify the general public that the school of Nursing UMTH – University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital admission application form is out, application are currently being received from suitably qualified candidates into the following programmes for 2025/2026 academic session.

 School of Nursing UMTH (University Maiduguri Teaching Hospital) Admission Form 2025/2026

  1. School of Nursing (SON)

  2. School of Post Basic operative Nursing (SPBPON)

  3. School of Post Basic Critical care nursing (SPBCCN)

  4. School of Community Health Officers Training Programme, Higher Diploma Programme (SCHOTP)

Method of Application:

All Schools 

  1. Applicants: should possession five(5) credits in SSCE. WAEC and NECO which must include English, Mathematics, Biology, physics and Chemistry in not more than two(2) sittings. Combinations of WAEC and WAEC, NECO and NECO and NECO and WAEC are acceptable at two sittings. National Business and Technical Examinations Board(NABTEB) is also acceptable in not more than two (2) sittings but cannot be combined with either WAEC or NECO.
  2. Applicants: for School of Nursing must be between seventeen (17) and twenty four (24) years of age. Any candidate below 17 years need not apply.
  3. SPBPON and SPBCCN: in addition to (I) above:

a) Candidate must be registered Nurse and possess current practicing license by the Nursing and Midwifery council of Nigeria

b) Candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years post registration experience

  1. SOCH: in addition to (i) above:
  2. a) Candidate must have Diploma in Community Health
  3. b) Junior Community Health extension worker with addition of degree in Health related courses.

A) DURATION OF COURSES: 

SCHOOL OF NURSING(SON) 3 YEARS 

2. SCHOOL OF POST BASIC PERI OPERATIVE NURSING (SPBPON) YEAR 

3. SCHOOL OF POST BASIC CRITICAL CARE NURSING (SPBCCN) 1 YEAR 

4. SCHOOL OF COMMUNITY HEALTH (SOCH) HIGHER DIPLOMA 2 YEARS 

AND SPECIAL ONE YEAR WITH DEGREE IN HEALTH RELATED COURSES

B) Application forms fee (Nonrefundable)

1. SON – N6,000 

2. SPCCN – N15,000 

3. SPBPON – N15,000 

4. SOCH – 2YEARS N5,000 AND N10,000 FOR ‘YEAR CHO 

C) DATE OF SALES AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS 

  1. SON -15th May, 2023 to 7th July, 2023

  2. SPBCCN – 5th May to 31st July, 2023

  3. SPBPON – 5th May to 31st July, 2023

  4. SOCH – 5th May to 12th July, 2023

All completed application forms must be returned to the coordinators/principal’s office not later than the dates stated above. Completed application forms must be accompanied with:

a) Two (2) recent passport photographs on a white background

b) Photocopies of all credentials

D) SELECTION/EXAMINATION PROCESS:- 

The entrance examination and interview will be conducted on dates stated below:-

1. SON – 25TH July, 2023 

2. SPBCCN -1st to 5th August, 2023 

3. SPBPON – 31st July to 4th August, 2023 

4. SOCH -18th to 22nd July, 2023

NB: 

Successful candidates will be invited for interview.

All payment should be made into UMTH REMITA platform “UMTH SCHOOLS ACCOUNT”. Candidates are to present original and photocopy of evidence of payment to the school cashier and obtain Hospital receipt and use same to collect application form.
