The management of University of Abuja has announced the sale of her IJMB admission form for 2025/2026 academic session and application are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Programme for the 2025/2026 session. The IJMB Certificate enables candidates to gain Direct Entry Admission into 200 level of the degrees offered in UNIABUJA and other Universities in Nigeria. The IJMB Certificate is equivalent to the Advance Level GCE or the Old Higher School Certificate (HSC) or IJMB.
Successful candidates of the IJMB programme will be considered for Direct Entry Admission into 200 Level in any course of their choice in UNIABUJA or any University in Nigeria or Abroad.
IJMBE is a national examination body approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria and certified by Nigerian University Commission (NUC) as Advanced Level (A/L) examination for seeking admission into higher institutions.
Admitted candidates into IJMBE programme are expected to select THREE (3) subject combinations related to their course of study in the University.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE/WASC/GCE O’Level/NECO/NABTEB which must include English Language and Mathematics. At least three (3) of the credits must be in relevant subjects.

DURATION OF PROGRAMME:
The IJMB programme has been designed to last for a period of twelve (12) calendar months divided into two (2) semesters.
How To Apply for UNIABUJA IJMB Admission Form
Applicants are required to visit portal.uniabuja.edu.ng with a valid email and ATM card.
Candidates who meet these requirements can proceed to apply online (ONLY) with a non-refundable fee of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (N25,000.00) only.
Candidates who come out successful are to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of Thirty Thousand Naira (N30,000.00) only.
Step 1 – Visit https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng/.
Step 2 – Click on “CLICK HERE TO APPLY“
Step 3 – On the left pane, click on Interim Joint Matriculation Board.
Step 4 – Enter the requested details (surname, first name, other names, email and phone number) and click NEXT
Step 5 – On the payment preview page, click on GENERATE RRR.
Step 6 – Click “MAKE PAYMENT”, and you will be redirected to remita platform, enter your card details (Master Card or Visa Card)
Step 7 – After a successful payment, you will be redirected back to the portal and application number generated, and the portal also sends the same application as SMS to the applicant’s PHONE NUMBER, and you will be logged out.
Step 8 – Click on “MAIN LOGIN“, enter the generated application number and surname as the password to continue the application process.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Students who fail IJMB examinations may be allowed to re-apply for the programme.
- Following admission, registration and commencement of the programme, requests for refund of school fees will not be entertained for any student who voluntarily withdraws from the programme, or who are dismissed by a report of disciplinary actions.
