Etisalat Nigeria has quite a number of Etisalat Data Plans that fits almost every subscribers need. Not only that, they have one of the fastest browsing connection speed which makes them one of the preferred networks when considering purchasing data plane.

Etisalat Data Plan Type: Internet Bundles
The Internet bundle data plan types are for all kinds of devices but specifically for Laptop Computers as the plan can range from 10MB to 120GB.
The Internet Bundle Data Plan Types are also categorized into Daily Plan, Weekly Plan, Monthly Plan, Quarterly Plan, Bi-Annual Plan and Yearly Plan.
The 10MB and 50MB plans are the only daily and weekly Etisalat Data Plans while the 1GB, 2GB, 3GB, 5GB, 8GB, 10GB, 15GB, 20GB and 100GB are the monthly plans available, meaning after 30days the Etisalt Data Plan would expire and any outstanding data would be rolled over during auto-renewal, or if another data plan is purchased before the current plan expires.
The 30GB, 60GB and 120GB are the quarterly, bi-annual and annual plans available. However there is no data rollover on daily plan, night & weekend Plan

Etisalat Data Plan Type: Smartphone Plans
The Smartphone Plans is another category of Etisalt Data Plans which is targeted at smartphones only.
Although i do not see the difference between the prices of the Internet Bundle and Smartphone Plan however they have a different subscription code for the plans that fall under this category.
The three data plans available under the Smartphone Data Plans are 3GB, 5GB and 8GB and they have a validity period of one month and as the Internet Bundle Plan unused data will be rolled over during auto-renewal, or if another data plan is purchased before the current plan expires.

Etisalat Data Plan Type: BlackBerry Plans
Under the Blackberry Plans, Etisalat has numerous packages namely:
1. Blackberry 10 lite with unlimited BBM
2. Blackberry 10 mid with unlimited BBM
3. Blackberry 10 max with unlimited BBM
4. Blackberry Cbsolute
5. Blackberry Complete
All the Etisalat Blackberry Data Plans listed above also have daily, weekly and monthly plan types.
The plans ranges from 10MB to 1.5GB for those that have BlackBerry phones with Android Operating System.
While the blackberry absolute and blackberry complete plans are usually for the classic Blackberry Phones that do not have Android operating system and the subscription would only expire after the duration for the plan. Please also note that there is a fair usage policy that applies to this plan as most subscribers have abused this plan to download data over 100GB.
From Investigation it has been observed that once a user under the classic blackberry plan (blackberry complete and blackberry absolute) exceeds 3GB access to the internet becomes limited and some have reported they no longer have any sort of internet access and so it is advised to use fairly.
The cheapest plan starts from 100 naira which only lasts for a day and it goes up to 1500 naira.

How to Stop Auto Renew on Etisalat Data Plans
As explained above, whenever a subscriber purchases any of the Etisalat Data Plans, there is an automatic renewal that comes with all the plans.
The advantage to this is that when your subscription expires, you will not know as Etisalat would automatically bill you for another addition data of the previous plan purchased and also if you have any unused data it would be automatically rolled over.
Example: When you purchase 1GB of Data on the 1st of January, it would expire on the last day of the month, however if you have 100MB left from your subscription and the auto renewal kicks in then your balance for the newly purchased data plan would be 1GB + 100MB.
However the down side to this and why most subscribers do not like this feature and usually want it turned off is due to the fact that they want to control how credit/ airtime is taken from their phone and also sometimes one may not necessarily want to browse or access the internet the following month.
